GlobalPost hires Boston Magazine’s James Bandera to be vp/director of sales

Boston, September 22, 2008 – GlobalPost (www.globalpost.com), the first Web-based news organization to provide daily international news coverage by its own correspondents all over the world, has announced that James Bandera has been hired as Vice President/Director of Sales. Since January 2006, Mr. Bandera has been the Advertising Director for Boston Magazine where he oversees all sales and marketing activities for one of the country’s most successful regional magazines. He has 22 years of sales experience in consumer products and media, and for the past 10 years has held management positions in radio, television, and print with significant success in online sales.

Before joining Boston Magazine, Mr. Bandera was at NECN (New England Cable News) for five years, first as the station’s top-billing Account Executive and then for 3 years as its most successful ever Local Sales Manager. Previously, he was an account executive at WBZ Radio.
