Barbara E. Martinez - Managing Editor for the Web

Barbara E. Martinez will be GlobalPost Managing Editor for the Web. Martinez will be responsible for the GlobalPost Web site, overseeing editorial and technical aspects of the site and managing two deputy editors. Martinez comes to GlobalPost from the popular and influential Web site Politico where she was Deputy Managing Editor. Prior to Politico, Martinez was a staff writer for the Washington Post, a freelance editor, and a paralegal in the Brussels office of the law firm Cleary Gottlieb Steen and Hamilton LLP. She is a graduate of Harvard College, where she was an Executive Editor of The Harvard Crimson. She has written for the Associated Press, Bloomberg, the Wall Street Journal Europe and Gannett Suburban Newspapers.
