Kathleen Struck - Newsroom Manager
Kathleen Struck is Newsroom Manager for GlobalPost. An accomplished journalist, editor and manager, Ms. Struck has worked on staff and as a freelancer for some of journalism's most recognized organizations. She most recently served as an editor at CBC.com and as Managing Editor of Stars and Stripes, the Department of Defense-owned daily newspaper for the military and overseas staff with a worldwide circulation of 350,000. Ms. Struck was an editor and writer for the Baltimore Sun, and her byline and photos have appeared in the Washington Post, Newsday and other major newspapers. She recently returned to the US after 15 years overseas, where she reported from Jerusalem and Cairo, and worked as an editor for NHK, Japan's national broadcaster. Ms. Struck began her career as a reporter at the Paterson (NJ) News and is a graduate of the University of Missouri School of Journalism.
