
Pascale Bonnefoy will cover Chile for GlobalPost. As a free-lance journalist, she has contributed stories on political, economic, environmental, human rights and social events in Chile to local and international media. She has been stringer in Santiago for the Washington Post and correspondent for Latin America Press and Catholic News Service. Ms. Bonnefoy has also worked as researcher and assistant producer for documentaries broadcast on CBS, Discovery Channel and PBS, and more recently, with Texas World Television and Chilean scriptwriter Josefina Fernández. Locally, she has done considerable work as an independent investigative reporter and has contributed to papers such as La Nación and El Periodista. She was also international editor for the online paper El Mostrador, and investigator/producer for the investigative journalism program in Channel 13, "Contacto." She also has taught investigative journalism at Uniacc University in Santiago for several years. In 2005, she published the award-winning book "Terrorismo de Estadio" about operations at the National Stadium in Santiago, when it was used nefariously by Pinochet after the 1973 military coup. She works part time for the UN Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean and strings for the New York Times. Ms. Bonnefoy graduated from George Washington University with a degree in international affairs, and holds a journalism degree from the University of Santiago.
